Organizational Model:
Our organization is solely non-profit. All of the operating capital comes from donations, grants and fundraisers, and all the money will be spent on the athletic or educational programs for the children who participate. The program will have two levels of participation. There will be a recreational group and a competitive group. Both will receive much of the same mentoring and coaching benefits, however, the competitive group will go on to represent the community in sporting competitions around Southern California and the US. Those who choose the competitive route will be required to carry at minimum of a B average GPA and will be required to volunteer their time each month for a community service event determined by VAAD organizers and local leaders. This is a win-win scenario for both the children and the community.
